We had a really nice stay. We booked the bear cabin for one night and loved every minute. It was great for our family of four, but that would be the max you'd want to house in this cabin. Accommodations are very clean. Kids really enjoyed the log cabin experience, the sleeping loft was perfect for my teenage son- he didn't want to leave. We didn't meet the owners, but they made sure we felt welcomed and were great at checking in and providing directions. Owners have two adorable and friendly dogs Tulip and Miley who greeted us for the first time as we were packing up to leave. Total sweethearts. Overall, we felt this was a great place to stay.

We were to stay there this coming weekend. I emailed the owner to let him know that i am traveling with a Service Animal (German Shepherd). I first got a lecture on the aggression of the German Shepherd and then I was told that I would pay an additional cleaning fee for the animal, which by ADA laws is illegal. ANYONE with a service animal needs to know this place is not SERVICE ANIMAL friendly. I am reporting him directly to the ADA so they can investigate. He refused to give me his name as I inquired again about his name so I could provide an accurate report, to which he hung up.

Location is great. Close to Boone and Banner Elk. Small cabins are very clean.

My emails said the dog would be leashed and harnessed at all times (ADA laws). I told him the function she performs is for PTSD and seizure. Info I don't have to provide unless asked.

This is the perfect cabin choice. We booked the cabin only hours before arriving and the place was set up and ready to go. The cabin is quaint, clean and perfect for a couples weekend get away. We will be back again.

He did call back to apologize after reading the ADA laws and apologize. He also responded and blocked me from his site. He even went as far as to tell me he has a service animal cause his son has severe dog allergies????? There is no dog for dog allergies. Allergy dogs are used for dod allergens. And *if* you do have a service dog (cough cough) then by all means he should know the ADA laws.

His story does not add up and I'd like to give him a zero star. We ended up staying at the Best Western. We had hard wood floors, very clean. We've also stayed at Courtyard Boone and they are Service dog friendly. Never ever a problem!

The cabins are just what we were looking for. Perfect for a couple. They were clean and comfortable. You need to be prepared to cook on a gas grill or in a microwave. We brought a skillet and cooked all meals on gas grill. It's a beautiful area and quiet. We loved it here. The dogs were so friendly as were the owners. Great get away place. Location was perfect, located between Boone and Banner Elk. Will have to come here again.
