Scott was so helpful in advance regarding details like parking and information on the area. He gave detailed restaurant advice and made certain guests had everything they needed including ironing boards and beverages. The room was immaculate and the sheets were ironed! I haven't seen that since my grandmother was alive! The breakfast time was changed to meet the needs of the guests and was gourmet, with a lovely fruit salad and french toast with homemade cranberry maple syrup. I will be returning for a vacation as soon as possible!

Full disclosure: There are no TVs in the rooms if that is important to you. Although there was one in the main house. The breakfast was very small, but adequate.

We chose the less expensive room since we were only staying one night in The Flower Cottage. It was clean and neat and prettily decorated. No regrets what so ever. We had never stayed in a detached cottage before, and we enjoyed the privacy. The house was old and beautiful and the setting was beautiful. The drive was breathtaking. the toiletries provided were perfect, and we appreciated the fridge which came stocked with soft drinks and water. The robes were the best. I wish I would have bought one.!

Absolutely amazing! Mr. Russo was extremely welcoming and so polite! Made us feel right at home! Highly recommend if you are wanting to get away from the city.

The manager (owner?) was very nice and friendly. She called to confirm the day before and to share some useful information. The morning we left, she called to let us know that the room was ready and we could check in whenever we wanted. That was very kind and thoughtful. There were cookies, tea, and a desert bread available in the main house if we wanted which was accessible anytime. Had the key she gave us worked. Oh well, we didn't try to use it until morning anyway when she was there making breakfast.

Quaint, beautiful, peaceful. Clean rooms, robes and amenities unexpected for a B & B. Hosts were friendly, food delicious. Will return!

Staff were very accommodating and helpful. While breakfast was being prepared, we drank our coffee in rocking chairs on the wrap around porch. We ended up finding this gem when all the hotels in Blowing Rock and Boone were booked. Glad we stumbled on this b&b.

Why would anyone not want to choose a charming historic B&B over a cookie cutter hotel for approximately the same price? Taylor House Inn’s 99.00 (and up, depending on the room) per night for a weekday was less or about the same the most of the lower rated hotels in the immediate vicinity, and considerable less than many. And it includes a homemade breakfast.
