I would go hungry without the Banner Elk Cafe. I eat there several times a week. I have my favorites but I love their Sunday special and any day of the week their soup is usually wonderful. I'm one of their biggest fans.
We have eaten here every day Tuesday through Sunday.AMAZING breakfast and Trout for dinner our last night here with fabulous live music also on Saturdays. You can't lose here!!!
A few friends and I had dinner here about a week ago . The manager was in her car smoking cigarettes out the front door . Food came out a bit chilly and thrown together. They didn’t have any heat on in the restaurant and it was two hours before closing. Our waitress reluctantly walked around and turned on some baseboard heat for us. I felt like a nuisance to the staff. We got out of their hair as quickly as possible.
Cheese steak and Hawaiian chicken pita both were very good. Portions were large. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Service was great, Eagle did a fantastic job! We will come again when we visit banner elk.
Nice people, good ice cream and pastry, craft beer, but coffee not as good as Starbucks.
